Reverend Doctor Xavier D. Wright became the Interim Pastor of Rancocas Valley Baptist Church on June 1, 2026. He previously served as an Associate Minister at Delaware Valley Baptist Church in Willingboro, New Jersey, where the Rev. Dr. James L. Betner serves as senior pastor. A native of Willingboro, New Jersey, he is a product of Community Baptist Church in Bristol, Pennsylvania, where the late Rev. Joseph Wright served as senior pastor. 

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education from Virginia State University and his Master of Divinity from Missio Seminary in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He went on to earn his Doctor of Ministry in Intergenerational Ministry as Sacred Theology from The Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University in Richmond, Virginia.

Reverend Wright was licensed to preach on December 21, 2016, at Delaware Valley Baptist Church, where he served as a youth leader. On August 6, 2023, he was ordained into the gospel ministry at Delaware Valley Baptist Church. Professionally, he works as a Health & Physical Education teacher and is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

Reverend Wright is the proud husband of Min. Ventris Marie Wright and the devoted father of three children.

Rev. Wright seeks to encourage people to model their lives after Jesus Christ. His life verse is John 3:30: “He must increase, but I must decrease.” (NRSV)
